牧(🔃)(mù(🐋) )江(jiāng )村郊野(📂)山(🏵)藏有一(yī )怪(🚆)，赤(🥢)面獠(liáo )牙，名(🔻)曰(🈷)垃圾人(rén )，他(🎪)身世神秘(mì )，以(👣)垃圾为食，日(rì(⛪) )遇村妇马秀(🔡)(xiù(📆) )娟，将其掳掠(🥙)。马(🥂)秀娟通过与(yǔ(🏜) )垃(lā )圾人的交(⛓)往，发(fā )现他虽(🌾)丑陋(lòu )骇人，却(🎞)心地单(dān )纯。但(🌿)天不遂人(rén )愿(🕊)，“单纯(chún )”的(de )垃圾人却将(🥡)(jiāng )马秀娟视为(🤛)配(pèi )偶(ǒu )，囚于(🃏)废弃厂房(fáng )。矿(🔻)山老板(bǎn )徐东(🕞)(dōng )南徐西北两(😺)(liǎng )兄弟欲借炸(🐵)山(🏈)(shān )除(chú )垃圾(📀)人(🎇)之名在野(yě(🛹) )山(🏘)非法拓矿(kuà(💙)ng )，全然不顾马秀(🚂)(xiù )娟安危。而垃(🌰)(lā )圾(jī )人通过(😶)马秀娟逐(zhú(🎖) )渐(⏫)了解人类(lèi )的(📅)尊重与爱，遂(suí(🐥) )将其放归牧江(📉)(jiāng )村(cūn )。马秀娟(⬅)得知徐(xú )东南(🤘)阴谋后(hòu )为救(💡)垃圾人与之(zhī )抗争，最(🏜)终被绑(bǎng )于山(🔗)上，垃(lā )圾人(ré(🌲)n )为救马秀娟(juā(🚷)n )与徐东南死命(🦁)(mìng )相(xiàng )搏，后被(💐)徐东南(nán )炸死(🥘)。环(🗂)保(bǎo )组织(zhī(💢) )声(🐅)明垃圾人(ré(📻)n )出(🤘)现乃牧江村(😬)(cūn )的(de )环保意识(👱)薄弱之(zhī )恶果(🥕)，垃圾(jī )人本无(🎷)罪，罪在(zài )人(💕)心(🛰)对环境的(de )态(tà(🐶)i )度，并呼吁民众(🚁)(zhòng )善待环境。

Dave Stimple, an unfocused mattress store owner, is having issues connecting with everyone around him. He arrives at the shop one morning to find the local health and safety people have shut him down. Bugs, huge bed bugs and lots of complaints are cited as the reason. Dave is really confused and his relationships with his wife, friends, and his own humanity seem to be devolving and increasingly distracting anomalies begin to take over his reality. But his issues may not be as internal as they seem.

Joy Holbrook is an intuitive market researcher in DC who has captured the attention of the account's CEO and is about to get a sweet promotion, just in time for the holidays. She receives an urgent phone call from home and she rushes back to Crystal Falls, NC to help her Aunt recover from surgery and is reunited with her former crush, Ben. To keep her Aunt focused on healing, Joy volunteers to take Ruby's place with the town's legendary baking competition, the "Cookie Crawl," much to the amusement of Ben who knows Joy has absolutely no idea of the Herculean task before her. Though Joy initially refuses Ben's attempts to "co-captain," she begins to soften and let him in, all the while remembering that there truly is no place like home.
